Make your own WOODBLOCK PRINT ‘Ukiyo-e style’ in Asakusa

INTRO:

Make your own woodblock print in a one-hour session in Asakusa workshop!

This facility has decades of experience at coaching people through the process of making a woodblock print. Their system is not ‘Print- making for Dummies’, but the method they have created gives excellent results, even for people without previous experience. Come as you are (shop aprons are provided) and because traditional woodblock printmaking uses no dangerous chemicals or fumes, it’s completely safe your kids can also join the party (school age and up, please…) It’s great fun watching the colors build up one-by-one as your finished print comes to life!

They prepare: sets of carved woodblocks, pigments, brushes, moistened paper, and all necessary tools. Their cheery young print staff will then guide you through the process of pulling your own prints, working with you until you get it right’ Of course you are free to take your completed prints home. Make your own souvenirs of your trip to Japan! You can also spend as much time as you like watching our professional print crew at work, or browsing the many beautiful prints and albums on display in our shop. And in case you didn’t know it, this facility is the place where the famous Ukiyoe Heroes’ woodblock prints are made!

• One person: A$40
• Additional person: A$30
• Family Pack: two adults + up to three kids = A$80
  Extra kids: A$10 yen each
• Small Family Pack: one adult + up to two kids = A$60
  Extra kids: A$10 yen each

HOW TO BOOK:

2. We will check the availability and come back to you within 1 business day
3. Payment request will be sent
4. You can then use ‘BOOK this tour’ button to make your payment through our secure booking system
5. Reservation is done upon receiving your payment. Confirmation e-mail will be sent to you

PAYMENT:

• Program fees shall be paid through Credit Card. Currently, no other payment method is accepted.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• Reservations may be cancelled without charge up to 2 days prior to the program date.
• Reservations cancelled less than a day before the program date will incur 100% of the program charge.
