Make Your Own Knife with an Experienced Swordsmith

INTRO:

This program is 1 day course and offered by Asano Taro. Asano, certified by the Japanese government, is one of the few genuine Japanese swordsmiths still practicing his craft today.

Usually, it takes about 10 years to learn how to make a Japanese knives. However, in this activity, the swordsmith, Asano will cover the whole process in a day. During the experience any questions and help will be assisted. After the experience the participants will be a master of crafting Japanese knives. The knife that you made will be your souvenir that you can take back home.

Bring back your craftsmanship and display in your house for your friends and family to see.

TOUR ITINEARY:

• 8:30AM Gifu-Hashima Station pick-up
• 9:00AM – 11:30AM Start the program at the atelier
• 11:30AM – 1:00PM Lunch
• 1:00PM – 3:00PM Shape the knife at the atelier
• 3:00PM – 4:00PM Complete the knife
• 4:00PM – 4:30PM Gifu-Hashima Station drop-off

PAYMENT:

• Program fees shall be paid through Credit Card. Currently, no other payment method is accepted.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• If you cancel at least 7 calendar days in advance, there is no cancellation fee.
• If you cancel within 6 calendar days in advance, you will be charged a 100% cancellation fee.
